What's New on the Site

  • New listing on the Community page:

    Cape Ann Yankee Swap

We are residents of the Cape Ann, Massachusetts cities of Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester and Essex who want to give and receive items with one another in a barter system which does not involve any monetary payment. This group will enable us to recycle and help save the planet, help citizens of all social classes and save resources and energy for people who want to get rid of old things to make room for new ones.

The Shute and Merchant web site has been updated with even more stereoview images, vintage magazine articles about the quarries, etc. and now one section related to the genealogy of the Shutes and Merchants of Gloucester Mass.

  • Great find!  The best site on Dogtown and the Babson Boulders that we've seen.  Includes photos, history and a fabulous map that includes GPS coordinates.
